wall desk prototype

The prototype is finished! It still needs a few tweaks, but it is ready for production. Jian loves it. She started filling it with her "treasures" before it was even up on the wall. It is so nice to be able to close it up to instantly de-clutter, as well as gain back some space for playing.
I've always thought of this piece as a mail sorting/home office desk for a hallway or kitchen - but it works great as a kids desk. Gregory Kenny was integral in the design and construction of this piece.

ZTA watch store preliminary design

Here are the preliminary renderings for our latest design project - a small watch store. Targeted opening date is July 1st, so progress will be quick. The basic intention of the design is be as clean and simple as possible, to highlight the merchandise. Secondly, brand recognition is very important, so, the logo is brought down into the store to be presented at eye level.

Kilowatt Studio and Vurv Design

The fabulous work of Gregory Kenny of Kilowatt is now available through Vurv Design! Greg and I have collaborated on several pieces over the last few years, including contributions to the Wowo line. We are offering two cat beds, the nest and the pod, at our online store.

Greg and I share a minimal design aesthetic, and he has an impeccable attention to detail, and so his work is a welcomed addition to our offerings. As small scale producers of hand made goods, we have decided to combine our marketing and distribution efforts to both reach a larger market, and to provide a more interesting online destination for people seeking high quality, hand made furnishings. Maow Deluxe

We have just finished prototyping the Maow Delux. It is a wall mounted feeder with three bowls. It features a large one quart bowl for water, and two shallow feeding saucers - one on each side. It makes it much easier to keep the water full and fresh, and also allows you to feed two types of food at a time. This product will be available very soon.

Wall desk progress

I have pressed the first 1/2 shell for the upcoming wall desk. I'm very excited about this, I think it is going to be a very cool piece. This prototype is in bamboo with a mandarin red interior. There will be more progress on this prototype over the next week or two.

Delica Console

If you are lucky enough to drive a Mitsubishi Delica, you will know that the factory center console is lacking - most noticeably missing are cup holders.
